How do I get Grand theft auto san andreas to work for my ps3?

Ok, I bought san andreas thinking it would work for my ps3. I returned at home and pop but it says the data is not supported. My PS3 has a 40GB hard drive. Why will not work?

ps2 Games Work on the 20GB, 60GB and 80GB models of the PS3, but not the 40GB. Sorry, but you bought the PS3 does not support PS2 games.
