Was the Playstation a superior hardware wise to the Sega Saturn?
Between the Playstation 1 and Sega Saturn, Playstation 1 was the superior system hardware wise or was the sega saturn system hardware than wiser? I looked specifications of both, and it seems that the Playstation 1 beats the Sega Saturn in several categories and seems to have more advantages over it. So what is the truth?
The Playstation 1 was much higher. I have both and after a quick comparison of some games that are on both consoles (Mega Man 8 Castlevania: Symphony of the Night), I can say without doubt that the PS1 is better than the Saturn. One of the advantages that the Saturn is that he used dual processors. This would greatly reduce the slowdowns and delays, if the games were pretty powerful. It was an unnecessary luxury that just made no difference. In addition, being a company that produces all types of media and digital equipment, CD's Playstation has been far higher. I think he was capable of playing almost twice the speed of the CD of Saturn, who made the load times are better (they were still horrible, but I'm not mistaken?) Another bonus of being a company that produces all types of media and digital equipment is that Sony has had access to high quality components. The life of a PS1 is about six times longer than the average Saturn. Believe me, I hear "My Saturn does not start over" on a bi-weekly.
